I had an important meeting with two of our dedicated local pharmacists last week to discuss the serious challenges they are facing. 💊

They spoke openly about the financial pressures threatening the future of community pharmacies right here in Redcar and Cleveland due to the previous Conservative Government cuts to Pharmacy Funding in 2016 and then again in 2018, this new Labour Government is negotiating now to find a settlement to stop the closure of more community pharmacies across the country and here in Redcar and Cleveland with many are struggling to keep their doors open.

I’ll be raising these urgent concerns with the Secretary of State for Health and working to secure the support our local pharmacies desperately need. We can’t afford to lose these vital services in our communities. ❤️🏥
