🚀 Supporting Investment in Redcar and Cleveland

I’ve written to the Redcar and Cleveland planning committee in support of the £1.8bn Teesside Gigapark Battery Energy Storage Project, proposed by Natpower, whom I had the opportunity to meet with a few months ago to discuss their vision for the project, which would become the world’s largest Battery Energy Storage facility.

This groundbreaking development will create hundreds of jobs, boost our local economy, and play a pivotal role in the UK’s transition to green energy. It’s a major opportunity for Redcar and Cleveland, and I’m fully backing it for the long-term benefits it will bring to our community and the wider Tees Valley.

I urge the planning committee to approve this vital project and help secure this investment and in turn a greener future for us all.
