The Infected Blood Scandal is one of the worst injustices this country has seen. Too many lives have been lost, and for decades, victims and their families have been ignored.
This Labour Government is delivering the justice they deserve. Over the past seven months, we’ve taken real action:
✅ £11.8bn set aside in the Budget for compensation – one of the biggest schemes in our history.✅ Regulations laid this week to ensure parents, partners, children, siblings, and some carers of victims are eligible.✅ The Infected Blood Compensation Authority set up to deliver payments.✅ Compensation for infected victims already started by the end of 2024, with payments for affected families expected by the end of 2025.
This is about righting a historic wrong. Labour is acting where others have failed. Justice must be delivered.
